AccreditationMinistère de l'Éducation Nationale et de la Formation Professionnelle (MENFP) of Haiti; the Université d'État d'Haïti is the autonomous national public university; verify CURRENT recognition and operating status
The Université d'État d'Haïti (UEH, organised in 1944, with older faculty roots) is Haiti's flagship and national public university — comprehensive, federating faculties across the disciplines. Its infrastructure was severely damaged in the 2010 earthquake. ⚠️⚠️ PARAMOUNT ADVISORY (neutral, factual): Haiti has faced SEVERE political instability, a humanitarian crisis, and widespread gang violence (particularly in/around Port-au-Prince, acutely 2023-2025), in addition to the catastrophic 2010 earthquake and the 2021 presidential assassination. Many institutions have faced major disruption, closure, or relocation. You MUST verify the CURRENT operating status of any institution AND your government's travel/safety advice BEFORE making any plans.
Always confirm a university's current accreditation with
the named national authority, and that the qualification is recognised in
the country where you intend to use it, before enrolling or paying any
fees. AlmiStudy records information to help you check — it is not an
endorsement.
Why this is free
AlmiStudy is part of AlmiWorld. It is free because its purpose is to
help people find their way to education — and the wider project
supports the Shamool Foundation, a free school for street children in
Lahore (60 students, lunch, books and uniforms provided).
