CURRENT CONTEXT (as of 2026): the Marawi campus was directly affected by the 2017 Marawi Siege (Battle of Marawi, IS-linked Maute group conflict) — the campus suffered damage and disruption but resumed full operations by 2018-2019 and continues to be a critical institution for the Bangsamoro region.
