AccreditationMinistry of Education of the Republic of Belarus; Department of Quality Control of Education; Belarusian accreditation system (not part of EHEA since suspension 2022 — though Belarus was admitted to Bologna Process in 2015, its participation has been suspended/limited following political crisis and Ukraine war complicity)
Founded in 1921, Belarusian State University (BSU) is the country's flagship higher education institution and largest classical university. Approximately 25,000 students. BSU's faculties span the natural sciences, humanities, social sciences, and international relations. Distinguished alumni include numerous Belarusian government officials, scientists, and writers. Like all Belarusian state universities, BSU operates under the Ministry of Education and is closely aligned with the state ideological framework. Many faculty and students who supported democratic reforms after the disputed 2020 presidential election were dismissed or have departed. Honest context: Belarus's higher education has been heavily affected by the political situation since 2020 and the country's complicity in Russia's invasion of Ukraine (Feb 2022); international academic partnerships have been substantially curtailed.
Always confirm a university's current accreditation with
the named national authority, and that the qualification is recognised in
the country where you intend to use it, before enrolling or paying any
fees. AlmiStudy records information to help you check — it is not an
endorsement.
Why this is free
AlmiStudy is part of AlmiWorld. It is free because its purpose is to
help people find their way to education — and the wider project
supports the Shamool Foundation, a free school for street children in
Lahore (60 students, lunch, books and uniforms provided).
