Founded 1993 (as Nazareth Technical College); reorganised as Adama University 2005; renamed ASTU 2014. Ethiopia's leading specialised public university for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, located in Adama (formerly Nazareth) in Oromia Region — approximately 90 km southeast of Addis Ababa. Founded 1993 as Nazareth Technical College, reorganised as Adama University in 2005, and renamed Adama Science and Technology University in 2014 with a refocused STEM mission. Faculties cover engineering (chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, mining), computer science, applied sciences, and architecture. A branch operates in Asella. Note: ASTU is a separate institution from Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU), which is a different STEM-focused public university located in Addis Ababa. The two collaborate on entrance exams.
Always confirm a university's current accreditation with the named national authority, and that the qualification is recognised in the country where you intend to use it, before enrolling or paying any fees. AlmiStudy records information to help you check — it is not an endorsement.

Why this is free

AlmiStudy is part of AlmiWorld. It is free because its purpose is to help people find their way to education — and the wider project supports the Shamool Foundation, a free school for street children in Lahore (60 students, lunch, books and uniforms provided).
