Founded in 1950 (originally the Riga Medical Institute, separated from the University of Latvia's medical faculty), Rīga Stradiņš University is Latvia's leading specialist health-sciences university. Named after Pauls Stradiņš (1896-1958), an eminent Latvian surgeon. Approximately 10,000 students with one of the highest international-student percentages in Latvia (~30%, students from ~60 countries). Offers English-medium MD, dentistry, and other health programmes — a significant destination for international medical students; the RSU medical degree is recognised across the EU and by many international medical councils.
Always confirm a university's current accreditation with the named national authority, and that the qualification is recognised in the country where you intend to use it, before enrolling or paying any fees. AlmiStudy records information to help you check — it is not an endorsement.

Why this is free

AlmiStudy is part of AlmiWorld. It is free because its purpose is to help people find their way to education — and the wider project supports the Shamool Foundation, a free school for street children in Lahore (60 students, lunch, books and uniforms provided).
