Founded in 2006, Polessky State University is one of Belarus's youngest universities. Located in Pinsk in the Polesie region — a vast wetland area of the Pripyat Basin spanning southwestern Belarus into Ukraine. Specialised programmes in banking and finance (the university was established on the base of an earlier banking college) alongside biotechnology and IT. Approximately 3,000 students.
