Founded in 1968 as the Novopolotsk Polytechnic Institute, becoming a university in 1993, Polotsk State University serves northeastern Belarus from its main campus in Novopolotsk. Approximately 8,000 students. Polotsk (the historic city, founded 862 CE) is one of the oldest cities in the East Slavic world and was a major medieval principality. The university maintains historical and cultural studies programmes connected to this heritage. Engineering programmes particularly oriented toward Belarus's petroleum refining industry centred in Novopolotsk.
Always confirm a university's current accreditation with the named national authority, and that the qualification is recognised in the country where you intend to use it, before enrolling or paying any fees. AlmiStudy records information to help you check — it is not an endorsement.

Why this is free

AlmiStudy is part of AlmiWorld. It is free because its purpose is to help people find their way to education — and the wider project supports the Shamool Foundation, a free school for street children in Lahore (60 students, lunch, books and uniforms provided).
