Founded in 1919 as the University of Agriculture in Brno, renamed in 1995 after Gregor Johann Mendel (1822-1884) — the Augustinian monk who, working in his garden at St. Thomas's Abbey in Brno, discovered the laws of genetic inheritance through his pea-plant experiments (1856-1863) and is considered the FOUNDER OF MODERN GENETICS. Approximately 10,000 students. Czech Republic's principal agricultural and forestry university.
Always confirm a university's current accreditation with the named national authority, and that the qualification is recognised in the country where you intend to use it, before enrolling or paying any fees. AlmiStudy records information to help you check — it is not an endorsement.

Why this is free

AlmiStudy is part of AlmiWorld. It is free because its purpose is to help people find their way to education — and the wider project supports the Shamool Foundation, a free school for street children in Lahore (60 students, lunch, books and uniforms provided).
