Founded in 1933, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre is the nation's specialist higher conservatory for music, theatre, and film. Approximately 1,200 students. Central to Lithuania's classical music, theatre, and growing film traditions; many internationally recognised Lithuanian musicians, conductors, and theatre/film directors trained here. Highly selective via audition.
