Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU)

Formed in 2010 from the merger of Kaunas University of Medicine (heritage to the 1922 medical faculty of the University of Lithuania) and the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy, LSMU is Lithuania's leading specialist health-sciences university. Approximately 7,000 students with a high international-student percentage (~20%, students from ~80 countries). Offers English-medium MD, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine — a major destination for international medical students; the LSMU medical degree is recognised across the EU and by many international medical councils. LSMU operates the Kauno Klinikos — one of the largest hospital complexes in the Baltic region.
