Named after NOSIR KHUSRAV (1004-1088 CE) — 11th-century PERSIAN ISMAILI PHILOSOPHER POET, major figure in Ismaili intellectual tradition. ~6,000+ students. Kurgan-Tyube/Bokhtar was civil war affected area.
