Founded in 1972 as the National Institute for Higher Education Limerick, becoming the University of Limerick in 1989 — Ireland's first university to be established since independence (and first new university since UCC/UCG/UCD in 1908). Approximately 18,000 students. Strong industry-orientation; pioneered cooperative education ('co-op') placements in Ireland. The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at UL is distinguished for traditional Irish music, song, and dance research and performance.
Always confirm a university's current accreditation with the named national authority, and that the qualification is recognised in the country where you intend to use it, before enrolling or paying any fees. AlmiStudy records information to help you check — it is not an endorsement.

Why this is free

AlmiStudy is part of AlmiWorld. It is free because its purpose is to help people find their way to education — and the wider project supports the Shamool Foundation, a free school for street children in Lahore (60 students, lunch, books and uniforms provided).
