Founded in 2006, the University of Travnik is a private institution in Travnik (central Bosnia) — a historic town that was the Ottoman provincial capital of Bosnia (Bosanski Vilajet) from the 17th to 19th centuries and the birthplace of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić (Literature 1961, author of 'The Bridge on the Drina'). Approximately 1,500 students across multiple faculties.
