Founded in 1995 by merger of the Higher Institute of Zootechnics and Veterinary Medicine (1923) with the Higher Medical Institute, Trakia University serves central-southern Bulgaria from Stara Zagora — Bulgaria's sixth-largest city. Approximately 7,000 students across faculties including Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Economics, Pedagogy, and Technical Sciences. Veterinary programmes offered in English for international students.
